Housing Upgrades Division
The Housing Upgrade Division is responsible for ensuring approved NSB residents have an avenue for heating and plumbing and electrical work to maintain aging infrastructure from becoming dilapidated.
The Upgrades Division assists qualified residents with Life and Safety Issues in homes with Vulnerable Residents. To qualify, the owner must be living in the home to be eligible for these repairs.
Definition of Life and Safety Issues:
- Heating failures
- Electrical hazards
- All other requests are reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis
Definition of Vulnerable Resident
- Elders over 60 years of age
- Small Children under 6 years of age
- Permanent disability/handicap
- No household income
