The North Slope Borough does not have property data and/or tax information online at this time.

The mission of the Assessing Division is to perform all statutory requirements in administering the taxation of real and personal property located with the NSB. The division values real and personal property and responds to value appeals.

The division maintains all records necessary to establish ownership of taxable real property such as maps, title documents, deeds, and other records of all Borough real property transactions. Annual physical inspections are performed on all real properties. The division has assumed responsibility for the valuation of most oil and gas property located in the borough. The division also reviews the state’s evaluation of oil and gas properties located in the Borough to protect the NSB tax base and maximize revenues.

**Making Tax Payments

Payments can be made in person at the NSB Cashier’s Office located at 1274 Agvik St. Utqiagvik. For payments under $50,000, the payment can also be made over the telephone using a debit or credit card. Phone (907) 852-2611 ext. 1401.

Cashier Hours are 8:30AM-4:30PM Monday – Friday.

If mailing payments, make check or money order out to North Slope Borough. Mail to: North Slope Borough, Attn: Cashier, PO Box 69, Utqiagvik AK 99723. Be sure to include the parcel id(s) the payment should be applied to in order to avoid a misapplication of funds.

Assessment notices, tax bills, and other property related correspondence are mailed to the last known address on file. It is the property owner’s responsibility to inform the Assessing Office of any change of address. Below is a downloadable change of address form or you can contact our office if you need one sent to you.
