Summary:
This project was conducted in 2004-2007 through the Native Village of Kotzebue with the assistance of the ISC. The project was a cooperative effort between ice seal biologists and local hunters. The study was designed to investigate the seasonal movements, habitat use and diving behavior of bearded seals. This was the first time that bearded seals had been satellite tagged.
