As winter conditions develop across the North Slope, residents are encouraged to use extra caution while traveling on roadways and over areas of newly forming ice. Slick road surfaces and thin or unstable ice can create hazardous conditions for motorists, pedestrians, and those traveling on or near bodies of water.
The North Slope Borough has issued the following safety advisories with information and precautions residents can take to help stay safe during changing winter conditions.
