Theme: Iñupiuraaġnaqsiruq – It is time to speak Iñupiaq
Kivgiq is an ancient Inupiaq tradition, which unites communities in a celebration of dance
and fellowship. The three-day Kivgiq celebration includes traditional dances,
art and craft bartering, storytelling, and gift giving.
Participants come from the international circumpolar community, including
Russia and Canada, as well as from all parts of Alaska and the lower 48 states.
