Inuit – the Arctic We Want
Mayor Harry K. Brower, Jr. is honored to Host of the 13th Inuit Circumpolar Council General Assembly, Inuit – the Arctic We Want.
The Assembly will congregate nearly 1,000 Inuit from Alaska, Canada, Greenland, and Russia during July 16-19, 2018 in Utqiagvik, Alaska.
The General Assembly has met every four years in the country of the succeeding Chair since its inception in 1977 by the Honorable Eben Hopson, Sr. who was also the first Mayor of the North Slope Borough. In the course of the Assembly the Circumpolar Inuit will unite their voices on common issues and to combine efforts toward protecting our heritage.
